Throughout her legal education, Alysandra was actively engaged in both academic and community-focused roles, including serving as an editor for the New Mexico Law Review and as a tutor in UNM’s legal writing department. Her commitment to her education and community service was recognized with multiple awards, including the Atkinson & Kelsey Award for Excellence in Family Law and the Clinical Honors Award for her work with UNM’s Community Lawyering Clinic.
Alysandra currently serves as the President of the El Paso Young Lawyers Association. In 2024, Alysandra received the Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year Award from the El Paso Bar Association, underscoring her dedication to her profession and her impact on the local community.
